Hi Alan, Still haven't found my Cruikshank of Denny catalog but I've been looking at several of these Denny items over the last couple of days. It's definitely the sole plate from a crop divider that fits to the end of a cutter bar e.g. on a binder. I was looking at two different lengths made by Cru...

Hi Alan,

Sorry but I keep forgetting to check. Somewhere I have a Denny catalog that may give a clue.
I think that it may be the sole plate for a crop divider at the end of a mower cutter bar.

Although the term 'Beast' is often applied to farm livestock, it is more usually applied across the board to cattle. However, I would agree that in this instance a "Beast" refers to a male animal and quite likely to refer animals to be sold on /and or kept for fattening purposes. The latter to inclu...
