Individual membership and institutional subscription
|You can join the Society as an individual member; libraries and institutions can take out an institutional subscription to its publications. In both cases, you receive each year two issues of the Agricultural History Review, as well as any supplements we publish during the year, and two issues of Rural History Today. You can also access the online version of the current issue of Agricultural History Review, and back numbers from the last three years via ingentaconnect. Earlier back numbers are freely available here.|
Individual membership also entitles you to vote at the AGM.
The annual subscription is £20 for UK members, £30 for members in Europe, and £40 for members in the rest of the world (reflecting differences in postage). There is a concessionary rate of £5 for UK students not in full-time employment and UK residents who are registered unemployed.
When you have filled in the form below and pressed the ‘Submit’ button, you will be taken to the payment page. On this page select the correct type of membership and press the Subscribe button, which will take you to PayPal. If you do not already have a PayPal account, you can sign up for one. PayPal will automatically take your subscription every year on the same day, but you can easily stop this if you want to. It will warn you shortly before the payment is due to be taken. If you intend to continue your membership it helps the Society not to have to remind you to renew.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please tick the Gift Aid box (and if necessary provide your home address), as this brings the Society an additional £5 of income at no cost to you. From 6 April 2016, note that you can no longer rely on dividend tax credits or tax deducted at source on interest payments to satisfy the condition of paying sufficient tax to cover gift aid. Please ensure your own tax situation qualifies before agreeing to gift aid.
If you prefer to pay by cheque (in GBP), please download, print and fill in the paper form and send it with your cheque to:
Libraries and other institutions can subscribe to the publications for £100 per year, renewable on 1 February. Please contact the Membership Secretary if you want to subscribe.
