my grandfather used to drive a cocksfoot harvester possibly manufactured by Hayter, in around 1960.  I have been told that it was a 3 wheeled machine driven by belts and levers.  There were only supposed to be 2 in the county (possibly country) the 2nd they were using as spares.  The crop of cocksfoot grass was collected, the seeds being sent to the amunition industry, the straw used to make cardboard.

Unfortunately this is all I can find out.  I have never seen what it looked like.  I was wondering if it was possible for you to point me in the direction of where I could find out more.  I have tried the library and internet but never seem to find what I am looking for.
