Coppicing and woodland management

Hi, I'm an archaeologist and coppice worker, I'm looking for a general history of coppicing.

There are many books on how to coppice, how to make coppice products, and accounts of coppice industries at a point in time such as Edlin or Rural Industries of England and Wales, and general books such as Rackham, but does anyone know if there is an overview book or article on coppicing and woodland management from prehistory to the 20th century? Or any aspects of it,

Not least for its delightful pictures, H. Edlin, 'Woodland Crafts in Britain' (1949) is always worth looking at for traditional woodland.

Thanks Paul, yes as mentioned Edlin is a great record, trying to find something that goes back a bit further. There's lots of medieval documents that mention woodland products so was hoping for something that pulled them all together. There is some in eg The English Medieval House, or Buildings in England Down to 1540, but was hoping for a synthesis from the woods' perspective, not the end use. If that makes sense?!
